Execution modes
Martingale, Grid and DCA bots, with limits built in
Four ways to trade: one position with a stop-loss and take-profit, a Martingale ladder, a Grid, or DCA. Every mode closes at a stop, a target or a close signal — and stays inside your limits.

The four modes
Signal
Opens one position per signal, with a stop-loss and take-profit placed at your broker, set as a percentage of price.
With an alert: opens the position.
Martingale
Adds positions as price moves against the trade, each one larger by your multiplier, and closes the whole ladder at one take-profit.
With an alert: opens the first position; the ladder then manages itself. A close alert closes the whole ladder.
Grid
Places orders at fixed levels across a price range, buying low and selling high inside it.
DCA
Scales into a position in steps, on your schedule.
Know your risk before you launch
How deep the ladder can go
The same Martingale settings go deeper on some accounts than others, because brokers set different limits. Before you launch, Vectorhelm shows how many steps the ladder can really take on your account, and what stops it:
- your broker’s maximum order size for that symbol
- your account’s free margin
You see it before any money is at risk.
Inside your limits
Martingale adds to a losing trade, so a long move against you can mean a big loss. That’s why it always runs inside your limits: daily loss, drawdown and max open positions all still apply.
The ladder closes at one take-profit, and every position always carries it. If the take-profit goes missing or wrong at the broker, Vectorhelm restores it automatically.
Frequently asked questions
How each mode manages a position, and where your limits apply.
Does martingale double after a losing trade?
No. It adds positions while one trade is open and price moves against it, each larger by your multiplier. It doesn’t change size based on trades that have already closed.
How deep can my martingale go?
Before launch, Vectorhelm shows how many steps fit on your account, and whether your broker’s maximum order size or your free margin is the limit. Your risk limits still apply on top.
Where are stop loss and take profit placed?
In signal mode, at your broker, set as a percentage of price.
What if a take-profit disappears at the broker?
Every position always carries its take-profit. If one goes missing or wrong, Vectorhelm restores it automatically.
Do my risk limits apply to every mode?
Yes. Every mode respects your account and strategy limits.
